Compressor station is a key point of the pipeline in the natural gas transmission projects, active magnetic bearings (AMBs) help improve compressors’ availability and reliability with uninterrupted gas deliveries to its destination, eliminating oil maintenance in the bearings and potential fire hazards throughout thousands of kilometers of pipeline.

Easier commissioning, remote monitoring and higher performance based on active magnetic bearings (AMBs) provide higher dynamic efficiency.

HSS Heavy-Duty Magnetic Bearings in PetroChina:

In the West-East Gas Pipeline Project, PetroChina Western Pipeline Company uses heavy-duty magnetic bearing pipeline compressors at pipeline compressor station, with an average of four units required for every 200 km. The heavy-duty magnetic bearings are from the well-known American magnetic bearing company W and HSS.
