China's First Magnetic Bearing MVR Vapor Compressor Starts Operation

On October 18, 2022, China's first high-speed magnetic bearing MVR vapor compressor unit, jointly developed by HSS and Shangdong Zhangqiu Blower Co., Ltd and spearheaded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it was put into operation in a magnesium sulfate evaporation and concentration project at a glass factory in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. Replacing the existing single-stage, high-speed centrifugal compressor unit, it reduces energy consumption by 20% and noise levels to 90dB(A), achieving significant energy savings and noise reduction.
